Ever see a woman in fuzzy bunny ears lose it in the middle of the supermarket?

So I decided we needed fuzzy pink bunny ears for a picture. I've been totally lacking the Easter spirit so I figure maybe bunny ears will help... When I get something in my head - get out of my way cuz I am determined....

So I pack up the kids and tell them to get the puppy - one of them can stay in the van with the dog the other can go in and chase the baby. Well the puppy immeditally pees and poops on my seat in the van. Thank God I opted for leather! I am not happy with the puppy so she gets to stay home in the crate.

We get to k-mart and I am looking for bunny ears. There's none to be found. I search high and low. Meanwhile James is whizzing up and down the aisle in his heelies, Dani keeps throwing herself down on the floor to have a classic 2 year old temper tantrum and Ryan keeps wandering off in classic unmedicated ADHD style.... I finally corral up all the kids to go next door to Safeway and Ryan goes running back into the store without an explaination and comes out a few minutes later holding his jacket which he had left somewhere. At least this time he remembered before we were home.

So we walk next door and find the Easter display and there are 4 pairs of fuzzy pink bunny ears left! I make each of the boys put on a pair and I put on a pair. Dani sees all of us wearing bunny ears and lets us put a pair on her. The plan is if she thinks we all are doing it she will want to do it and so far it is working.

So I am trying to finish off buying a few things on my list. Dani is sitting in the BIG cart that has the extra 2 seats on it - kind of like a rumble seat - and the boys are fighting over who gets to sit in the other seat. Then James decides we need to buy the dog a squeeky toy and he gives it to Dani to test out. So all the way up and down the aisles you hear squeek squeek squeek giggle giggle giggle. After a few aisles of this torture I realize - JAMES is the one squeeking the toy. I threaten him with death and he puts the toy back in the cart at which point the princess starts to scream.

I only have about 20 things to buy but between the boys poking and fighting and nagging and Dani fussing I am near losing my mind. I mention to the boys I need artichokes for the soup and a stock boy brings me over 3 jars of artichokes from 2 aisles over - i think he had pity on me or something.

So an hour later - yes it took an hour to get 20 items - I am checking out and about to lose it. I make it home just to find that the big dumb dog has gotten into the trash and torn apart one of Dani's poopy diapers -and somehow managed to get 2 chocolate chip cookies off the counter (still not sure how she did this we think the cat might have helped) and has torn the tin foil it was in to bits.

BUT

I have my fuzzy bunny ears!

real life

Sometimes I wonder about the people I chat with online. Some are funny, some are quirky. I really enjoy chatting with some of them.

There are others who bug the living shit out of me and I know they know it. These are the people who seem to have diarrhea of the fingers. They just spew bullshit all day long and it's all either nasty digs at others or not so subtle brags about what they have. I guess what it comes down to is that they must be as annoying in real life and they don't have any real friends or something.

I'm glad I've found a few online havens where I can go to get away from the bullshit :)

our new family member

In case you didn't know, we have added a new member to our family. She is a 10 week old pug and I just adore her.

That being said the cute is starting to wear off and damn I had no idea a puppy could be this much work! I swear she is needier than the baby! Oh I wish I could just put a diaper on her.

But she's sooooooooooooooo cute and I just love her to pieces!

so

I went and spent an insane amount of money on a new purse. I love this purse. I saw this purse and had to have it, and I'm not really the have to have it type. I also need to add that I got a great deal on it at the Navy Exchange.

The funny thing is that I had been at the Coach store a few days earlier - carrying my out of season Dooney and Bourke purse and I couldn't get the time of day. The sales staff pretty much ignored me.

So last week I went in to see if I could find the matching wallet and the sales staff swarmed around me. Every other minute someone asked me if I needed help. It was a strange experience, to have these snotty sales people kissing my ass, and frankly I don't think I like it.

The same thing happened yesterday at another mall, snotty sales clerks were all treating me like I was the freaking queen of Sheba or something. Several commented on the purse. I started to wonder if I really wanted to carry a purse that makes people treat me different. But then I realized that I bought my purse because I love the colors and patterns and it is a really well made purse, not because I want snotty sales clerks to kiss my ass.

So off to find the matching wallet ;)

back with a vengeance!

Ever want to ask someone where they went to college - and when they get all puffed up because they always have to have the best of everything - suggest that they request a refund because a 13 year old can spell better....

Yeah

I went to a discount college btw ;)
